Moving Maryland Forward is a project designed and developed by Netcentric Campaigns to power progressive social change by creating an online network linking Maryland advocacy leaders with citizens concerned about important public policy issues now before state leaders.
Launched in January 2012 in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland, the Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition, the Maryland Budget and Tax Policy Institute and the Just Kids Partnership, the Moving Maryland Forward Network provides its participating organizations with online organizing and communications tools they can use in campaigns to promote fairness, equality and justice for all Marylanders.
Netcentric Campaigns is dedicated to powering progressive social change by connecting change makers with innovative tools and strategies required for success in the age of online connectivity.
At a time when more and more citizens turn to the Internet for news, information and opportunities to express their views of major issues of the day, and when more and more political leaders use websites, blogs and other forms of social media to reach voters and supporters, it is vital that advocacy organizations are effective in using these digital technologies.
Spirited public dialogue and debate are essential for our democratic process. Moving Maryland Forward Network is a vehicle for promoting dialogue and debate, for communicating important information and ideas, for advocating for better public policies.
